At Papa Spyros Olive Oil & Fine Foods Market, our cooking classes are about more than food — they're about bringing people together around the table.

Kouzina Theatro means Greek Kitchen Theater — but there is no audience here.

Everyone is part of the show. And when the music starts, don’t be shy — in Greece, joy is better when it’s shared. You don’t have to know the steps; just bring your kefi* and join us.

You won't just watch us cook. You'll cook with us, eat with us, laugh with us, and maybe even dance with us. You'll learn authentic Greek family recipes and traditional techniques while discovering the stories, culture, and traditions behind the food.

At the heart of every class are three Greek values:

FILOXENIA — welcoming guests with warmth and making them feel at home.

 

PHILOTIMO — giving and caring for others from the heart.

MERAKI — putting your love, passion, and a piece of yourself into what you create.

EFROSÝNI (Εὐφροσύνη) — a deep sense of inner joy and well-being; when the heart feels light, peaceful, grateful, and fully present in the moment.

KEFI (Κέφι) — high spirits, joy, and the desire to celebrate life through laughter, music, dancing, and being together.

What to Expect

✔ Hands-On Experience
Make your own 9-inch tray while learning traditional techniques. We'll bake it together, and you'll take it home to share with the people you love — along with the experience, the memories, and a good story from your time at Kouzina Theatro.

✔ A True Greek Table Experience
Enjoy traditional Greek appetizers, followed by the featured dish of the class, prepared by us and served as your main course, so you can taste and experience the finished dish while learning how to make your own. We'll finish with a traditional Greek dessert. Everything is prepared from family recipes using carefully selected ingredients, organic whenever possible, and Papa Spyros Extra Virgin Olive Oil — never seed oils.
